The Effect of the Determinants of Accounting Discretion on the Relationship Between Earnings Management and Stock Returns

Abstract: This research investigates the effect of the determinants of accounting discretion (beating last year’s earnings, overinvestment problems, growth options, debt, and financial risk) on the relationship between earnings management and stock returns.
