The effect of the sintering process on Ag–added FeSe0.94 superconducting wire

Abstract: We investigated the effect of different sintering processes on Ag-added FeSe 0.94 superconducting wires. After applying different sintering procedures, we successfully obtained zero resistivity, at 350 • C for 100 h and at 700 • C for 1 h, in Ag-added FeSe 0.94 superconducting wire produced using the ex-situ powder-in-tube method. The crystal structure of both wires is mainly composed of the tetragonal β-FeSe phase. Ag does not react with selenium, and it can be incorporated into the crystal structure. The tra… Show more

“…Owing to its high critical field, simple structure and the nontoxicity, 11 type IBS has attracted attention by universities and institutes around the world. Almost all researchers were devoted to the preparation and performance improvement of 11 type IBS material [20][21][22][23]. In 2023, Shanghai Jiao Tong University successfully fabricated FeSe 0.5 Te 0.5 coated conductor tapes (11 type IBS) with high transport performance of 2.79 × 10 6 A cm −2 at self-field [24].…”
