The Effect of Ultrasonic Instrumentation on Finish Line Integrity

Abstract: Purpose: Ultrasonic scaler is frequently used for temporary cement remnants removal from abutment teeth. A major concern is the alteration of the structural integrity of the abutment finishing line by the ultrasonic scaler.
