“…This case explains each time-dependent intermittent phenomenon based on a nonstationary series [25 -27]. Investigation of the effect of Reynolds' numbers on flow interference between two sideby-side stationary cylinders and associated flow-induced forces using the finite element method and wavelet analysis [28]. This wavelet precisely reconstructs various signals in different situations, such as upstream, downstream, and around the bluff body (cylinder) [29 -40].…”

“…However, there are situations where fluids flow past more than two cylinders in different arrangements (Zdravkovich, 1987); for instance, the case of the shell and tube heat exchanger, oil and gas pipelines and the blades of multistage turbo-machines. Therefore, a few numerical and experimental works have increased the degree of complexity by studying the fluid flow over three cylinders (Bao et al , 2010; Fan et al , 2021a; Gu and Sun, 2001; Han et al , 2013; Harichandan and Roy, 2010; Kang, 2004; Pouryoussefi et al , 2011; Sumner et al , 1999; Zhang and Zhou, 2001; Zhou, 2003). In this case, several parameters can influence the flow characteristics such as the Reynolds number (Han et al , 2013; Harichandan and Roy, 2010), the gap spacing between two adjacent cylinders (Fan et al , 2021a; Sumner et al , 1999; Zhou, 2003) and the geometrical arrangement of the cylinders such as side-by-side (Kang, 2004; Sumner et al , 1999), tandem (Fan et al , 2021a; Han et al , 2013) and triangular arrangements (Bao et al , 2010; Gu and Sun, 2001; Pouryoussefi et al , 2011).…”

In addition to these parameters, the hydrodynamics of the flow are also dependent on the equal or unequal spacing between two adjacent cylinders (Zhang and Zhou, 2001).…”

“…It is called as the boundary-layer turbine as well [11] because it does not use a fluid to impact the blades, as in a traditional turbine but, rather, the boundary-layer effect. A bladeless vortex turbine [12] is another type of power generator that does not include rotating blades. It includes a fixed base whereby the structure is attached to an anchoring, and a flexible mast interacting more freely with the flowing fluid.…”
