Abstract:This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a cognitive-behavioral counseling program in reducing cognitive distortions. The quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The sample comprised 30 residents of the Juvenile House in Taif who were randomly chosen. The findings indicated statistically significant differences at (α≤0.01) between the pretest and posttest mean scores on all cognitive distortions dimensions in favor of the post-administration.
