“…Researchers performed a narrative and thematic analysis and found that women in Centering groups felt respected, believed they learned a lot about their bodies, felt that they were not alone, and that they had gained power as a health care consumer (22). Tubay et al (23) conducted a randomized controlled study of 129 women in prenatal care in MTFs and found women in Centering were less likely to deliver a small for gestational age or large for gestational age newborn and were more likely to be satisfied with their access to care as compared to women in individual care. They also found that group prenatal care is well received by patients and may positively influence neonatal metabolic status.…”
