The effects of MDR-1 gene polymorphisms on the clinical course of chronic hepatitis B infection

Abstract: Aims: Chronic HBV infection is associated with high morbidity and mortality rate due to increased risk of hepatic cirrhosis and hepatocellular cancer. Treatment modilities and resistance is currently investigated. Several mechanisms were underlying in drug resistance.
