The Effects of Metformin, Ethinyl Estradiol/Cyproterone Acetate, and Metformin Ethinyl Estradiol/Cyproterone Acetate Combination Therapy on Carotid Artery Intima-media Thickness in Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Abstract: Polikistik over sendromu, karotis arter intima media kalınlığı, insülin direnci, apelin, adiponektin, C-reaktif protein treatment groups (p>0.05). There was no statistically significant change in carotid IMT value in all treatment groups (p>0.05). Conclusion: According to these results, we can say that women with PCOS have subclinical atherosclerosis and that metformin treatment has a positive effect on subclinical atherosclerosis.
