Objective: To systematically evaluate the therapeutic effect of acupuncture on dysphagia in patients with Parkinson disease (PD). Method: We searched CNKI, WF, VIP, CBM, Cochrane Library, and Web of Chinese Biomedical Literature Randomized controlled trials on the efficacy of acupuncture in the treatment of dysphagia in patients with PD was retrieved from Science, Embase, and PubMed databases from establishment to October 2022. Outcome indicators included clinical efficacy, swallowing function, hemoglobin, and serum albumin. Literature screening and data extraction of included literature were conducted independently by 2 reviewers, and literature quality was evaluated according to the standards of the Cochrane Collaboration network. Data analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3 and Stata14.0 software. Results: 466 patients were included in 7 literature, 234 in the observation, and 232 in the control groups. The results of the meta-analysis showed the clinical efficacy in the observation group [odd ratio = 0.25, 95% confidence interval (95%CI) (0.15, 0.40), P < .01]. Swallowing function [standardized mean difference (SMD) = −0.96, 95%CI (−1.24, −0.68), P < .01]; hemoglobin index level [SMD = −0.72, 95%CI (−1.25, −0.20), P < .01]; serum albumin index level [SMD = −1.25, 95%CI (−2.19, −0.31), P < .01]. Conclusion: Acupuncture has a specific curative effect on dysphagia in patients with PD, and the therapeutic effect is more significant than that in the control group, which can improve the dysphagia function and nutrition level in patients with PD more effectively.

Introdução: A fisioterapia tem muito a contribuir para o cuidado do paciente oncológico. Em se tratando dos tumores ginecológicos, que compreendem vulva, vagina, colo do útero, endométrio, tuba uterina e ovário, diante do diagnóstico de doença que ameace a vida, preconiza-se abordagem por meio dos cuidados paliativos, a fim de prevenir e aliviar sintomas. Objetivo: o presente trabalho possui por objetivo realizar uma revisão sistemática sobre a eficácia da fisioterapia como tratamento adjunto em pacientes com câncer ginecológico. Trata-se de uma Revisão Sistemática da literatura. Metodologia: A busca dos artigos foi realizada nas seguintes bases de dados on-line: Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) que inclui as bases SciELO (Scientific Eletronic Library On Line), Lilacs (Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde) e Pubmed. Resultados: Os resultados demostraram que as intervenções fisioterapêuticas para pacientes submetidas a tratamento de câncer de mama e ginecológico têm níveis variáveis de evidência para contribuir para a prevenção ou atenuação do comprometimento físico-funcional, sintomas causados pelos tratamentos. Conclusão: Conclui-se que, com base na literatura de pesquisa existente sobre o impacto da fisioterapia na mulher portadora de câncer ginecológico, fica claro que as diferentes abordagens utilizadas são benéficas à melhoria da qualidade de vida do paciente.

Motor and nonmotor symptoms occur in early Parkinson’s disease (PD), or even in the prodromal stage. Many of these symptoms can be addressed by allied health therapies, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychological therapies. However, referrals to these services early in the disease are low. We provide a review summarizing the efficacy of proactive allied health interventions on motor and nonmotor symptoms and daily function in prodromal and early disease. We also highlight areas for additional research and provide recommendations to improve care for individuals with early PD within each discipline. We recognize the overlapping roles of the allied health disciplines and support integrated or transdisciplinary care beginning soon after diagnosis to help stem the tide in the progression of PD symptoms and disability.
