This study aims to analyze research trends in multicultural family parent education. Through multicultural family parent education, we promote cooperation with social organizations to provide a variety of services, and provide necessary information, educational programs, and counseling services to parents of multicultural families through linkages with childcare and communities. Accordingly, by analyzing research trends on parent education for multicultural families from 2012 to 2022, focusing on doctoral theses published in Korea, we provide basic data that can help develop future needs and programs for parent education for multicultural families. There is a purpose for this study. For this purpose, 160 domestic doctoral theses were analyzed. The search terms for the analysis criteria were based on a total of 15 key words, including multiculturalism, multicultural family, couple education, parent education, parent education program, parent-child raising method, and bilingualism. As a result of the study, it was found that through parent education for multicultural families, parents were provided with information about raising children, their confidence in communication between family members and their role as parents increased, and it was found that connection with educational institutions was necessary in the future. Accordingly, this study examined trends in multicultural family parent education research. Recently, it can be used to develop parent education programs for multicultural families, which are rapidly increasing, and is expected to provide positive material support for parent education for more diverse multicultural families.
