Abstract: Background: Metabolic syndrome is a pathological condition characterized by abdominal obesity, insulin resistance, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. Conventional treatments for metabolic syndrome have limitations due to their nonselectivity, drug resistance, and low bioavailability.
