The EMC analysis between COMS RE and the H II - a launcher RS

Abstract

In this paper, the preliminary EMC analysis process between the Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite (COMS) and Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) launch vehicles in the frequency range [lMHz-47GHz) is described. There are a lot of launchers for GEO in the world market. Those are ARIANE V, SEA LAUNCH, LAND LAUNCH, ATLAS II1& V, DELTA N, PROTON MlBREEZE M, SOTUZ, H IT -A, ANGARA. In the paper the considered launch vehicle is PROTON, one of those launchers. The COMS satellite Radiated Emission (RE) specifications have been compared to H IT -A launch vehicle Radiated Susceptibility (RS) limits. As a result, The radiated emission levels of COMS are not compliant with H IT -A radiated susceptiblity limits.
