The emergence and integration of motor responses.

Abstract: Chavtcr Seven THE EMERGENCE AND INTEGRATION* This hypothesis carries the thesis that in general the motor skills of offspring regress toward the mean of the population by an amount approximating about one-half the distance between parental status and the normal status. For example, the height (or strength) of boys and girls of very tall (or strong) mothers and fathers tends to fall halfway back toward average height (or strength).
