Abstract

The e nthalpies of com bu stion of 0-, m-, a nd p-chlorobenzoic acid have beer. determined in a n adi abati c rotating-bomb calorim eter. The enthalpies of forma tion have been obtain ed by co mbination of th e experime ntal data with the accepted values for the enth alpies of formation of water, ca rbo n dioxid e, and aqueous hydroc hloric acid.
