The EO771 mammary cancer cell line displays a luminal B phenotype and it is sensitive to anti-estrogen treatments

Abstract: Despite decades of therapeutic trials, detection, many drugs available and numerous studies on breast cancer, it remains the most deadly cancer in women. In order to choose the most appropriate treatment and to know the prognosis of the patients, the breast cancer is divided into different subtypes using a molecular classification. Thus, the need to discover new effective therapy is necessary, requiring to have models to test them. The EO771 (also named E0771 or EO 771) murine mammary cancer cell line is origi… Show more

“…All MFPs were collected and pooled based on diet to generate conditioned media from which EVs were isolated (as in EV preparation section). EO771, a murine mammary cancer cell line syngeneic to C57BL/6 mice 27 , was long-term educated with EVs generated from HFD or LFD groups, as described above.…”

“…Varikuti et al [40] used an orthotopic mouse breast cancer model to investigate ibrutinib's effect on tumor progression and metastasis. Mice were injected with tumor cells resembling a luminal b subtype [41]. After a growth period of one week, mice were randomized to treatment or placebo groups.…”
