Abstract:Background:
The prevalence of acute pancreatitis is rising especially in the Western world, but the prevalence remains unknown in most Middle Eastern Countries. Acute pancreatitis has been attributed with multiple etiologies with the two most common being alcohol abuse disorder and gallstones.
