Aktivitas pemindahan bahan secara manual (Manual Material Handling/MMH) mempunyai kelebihan karena kegiatan ini dapat dilakukan pada ruang terbatas, kelemahan pada aktivitas ini adalah sangat mengandalkan kekuatan fisik pekerja untuk mengangkat barang, MMH apabila tidak dilakukan secara ergonomis akan menimbulkan kecelakaan kerja dalam industri, yang disebut "Over Exertion-Lifting and Carying" [1] yaitu kerusakan jaringan tubuh yang disebabkan oleh beban angkat yang berlebihan. Banyak nya aktivitas produksi yang dilakukan secara manual dapat menyebabkan keluhan muskuloskeletal yaitu gangguan kronis pada otot, tendon, dan saraf yang disebabkan oleh pengguna tenaga secara berulang (repetitive), gerakan secara cepat, beban yang tinggi, tekanan, dan postur tubuh yang janggal [2] Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 4 departemen yang masih melakukan MMH.…”
