“…Statistically, a significant difference was found when comparing conventional heat cure denture base resin, high impact denture base resin, 2% nylon reinforced denture base resin, and 2% glass fiber reinforced denture base resin. Flexural strength result obtained in this study were in consensus with the study done previously, 7,12,19,20 where the flexural strength of PMMA increased after the incorporation of glass fibers than conventional heat cure resin. The inclusion of glass fibers beyond 5% showed a decrease in flexural strength and nylon reinforcement had slightly higher flexural strength than conventional heat cure rein.…”

“…So various methods have been investigated to improve acrylic denture materials and prevent fracture including mechanical reinforcement of acrylic with other materials, such as, carbon, nylon, rayon and glass fibers, [12] but glass fibers have gained popularity because of their good esthetics and good bonding to polymer. [13,14] The select attachments for implant supported overdentures should have enough retentive properties to enhance the stability of the prosthesis. At the same time, the attachments should allow for an easy placement and removal of the prosthesis by the patient.…”

“…However there also exists a variety of materials for constructing and relining dentures [6]. Denture liners have been an integral part of the ancient as well as modern day dentistry with its chief role in the area of removable prosthodontics.…”
