The expanding role of circulating tumor DNA in resectable non–small cell lung cancer

Daniel Morgensztern

Abstract: Despite treatment with curative intent, many patients with non–small cell lung cancer develop tumor relapse. The detection of minimal residual disease with circulating tumor DNA may allow for a more personalized treatment, which may potentially allow patients with a high risk for relapse to receive more aggressive therapy and those with a low risk for relapse to avoid overtreatment.
