The External, Internal Factor and Ecosystem Services to Support Mangrove Rehabilitation Planning in North Coast of Jakarta

Abstract: The mangrove ecosystem on North Coast of Jakarta has many services and function both of ecology, social and economic function and services, including the tidal flooding reduction, land subsidence reduction, pollution reduction, ecotourism and others. However, the mangrove ecosystem in North Coast of Jakarta Mangroves are being badly damaged, so require effort and activity to rehabilitate. This research aimed to develop  rehabilitation strategy of mangrove ecosystem in North Coast of Jakarta to reduce coastal d… Show more

“…Among them, the carbon emission in 2016 was the highest, reaching 5.5 million tons of CO2 equivalent, while the carbon emission in 2018 was the lowest, only 4.8 million tons of CO2 equivalent. Compared with the national average, the carbon emission level of rural human settlements is slightly lower, but the gap is gradually narrowing [4] .…”

“…The visit allows students to observe and understand the unique adaptations of mangrove ecosystems, such as intricate root systems that serve as nurseries for marine life, fostering a deeper understanding of coastal environments (Rivera-Monroy et al, 2017). Furthermore, students gain insights into the interconnectedness of mangroves, seagrasses, and coral reefs, providing a holistic perspective on marine ecosystems and the symbiotic relationships between these habitats (Hilmi et al, 2023). Engaging in activities such as species identification and environmental monitoring fosters a connection between theoretical knowledge and realworld application, contributing to a deeper understanding of the diverse flora and fauna within the mangrove ecosystem (Getzner & Islam, 2020).…”
