The feasibility and efficacy of catheterizable stoma's in adults

Abstract: Purpose of reviewA continent vesicostomy represents a useful alternative for adult patients with impaired bladder emptying who are unable to perform clean intermittent (self-) catheterization through the urethra. In a pediatric setting, there exists a vast experience in these procedures. But experience with continent catheterizable vesicostomies is less abundant in adult patients.
