Abstract:Curcuminoids are widely studied due to their well-recognized therapeutic properties. These molecules are often derivatized with metals, producing their corresponding homoleptic metal complexes. Numerous crystal structures of homoleptic symmetric curcuminoids with physiologically essential metals are known, although the literature lacks reports of homoleptic metal complexes of unsymmetric curcuminoids (or hemi-curcuminoids) as ligands. Three unknowns must be solved when an unsymmetric curcuminoid ligand is reac… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
