Abstract:This article presents the first results of the examination of environmental objects (water, coastal soil, bottom sediments) of the Kapshagai Reservoir water basin. Radionuclide composition of selected samples by alpha-, gamma spectrometry and total alpha- and beta-activity were determined. It has been established that in some water samples, the total alpha activity exceeds the standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan for drinking water, the total beta activity does not exceed the standard.
