Abstract:Introduction. In patients with chronic mercury intoxication, insomnia disorders are much more common than in the general population. Persistent emotional disorders in combination with severe sleep disturbances may contribute to the progression of cognitive dysfunction in patients in the late post-exposure period of chronic mercury intoxication.
