Abstract:This paper aims to present a syntactic description for two cognate proclitics ab and ghab in Hmub, a Hmong-Mien (Miao-Yao) language spoken in Southeast Guizhou of China. These two proclitics exhibit striking syntactic behaviors and semantic properties.
