Abstract:Inspired by the dependency degree ␥, a traditional measure in Rough Set Theory, we propose a generalized dependency degree, ⌫, between two given sets of attributes, which counts both deterministic and indeterministic rules while ␥ counts only deterministic rules. We first give its definition in terms of equivalence relations and then interpret it in terms of minimal rules, and further describe the algorithm for its computation. To understand ⌫ better, we investigate its various properties. We further extend ⌫ … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
