“…David, Summers & Ampt (1927) related tektite distribution to a great circle, they wrote before the discovery of Ivory Coast and North American tektites. La Paz (1938) suggested two and later (La Paz, 1944), three great circles. If, in fact, tektite distributions relate to parts of great circles this is evidence for a meteoritic or terrestrial origin, the latter either by impact (producing rays as on the Moon) or by hyper-volcanism.…”
