Abstract: Long-term memory formation relies on synaptic plasticity, activity-dependent transcription and epigenetic modifications. Multiple studies have shown that HDAC inhibitor (HDACi) treatments can enhance individual aspects of these processes, and thereby act as putative cognitive enhancers.
