“…Mycosis fungoides is one of the most common types of Cutaneous T Cell Lymphomas (CTCL). MF originates in the peripheral epidermotropic T cells, in specific in the memory T cells (CD45RO+), expressing the T cell receptor (TCR) and CD4+ immunophenotype [ 35 ]. Vaidya et al in their 2022 publication showed that MF has an incidence of six cases per million per year in the United States and Europe.…”

“…Superficial lymphoid infiltrate, epidermotropism with absent or rare spongiosis, and lymphoid atypia are the characteristic histological features of mycosis fungoides. [2][3][4] Precise clinicopathologic correlation is necessary to support a diagnosis, especially in the early stages of disease. In addition to the identification of histopathologic criteria, ancillary studies, including the identification of CD4(+) T cells with aberrant immunophenotypes and T-cell receptor gene rearrangements within skin lesions and peripheral blood are used to support the diagnosis.…”

“…1 Mycosis Fungoides is the most common cutaneous Tcell lymphoma. 2 Angioimmunoblastic T Cell Lymphoma represents 15-20% of all peripheral T cell lymphomas and 1-2% of all Non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Patients in the sixth and seventh decades are affected with slightly male predominance.…”

“…There is a controversy if syringotropic mycosis fungoides is a variant of folliculotropic mycosis fungoides or a distinct entity. 4 De Masson et al showed that, while in folliculotropic mycosis fungoides, the head and neck are commonly affected, in syringotropic form, nearly half of the patients present with punctate palmoplantar lesions. Furthermore, clinical course of syringotropic mycosis fungoides seems to be more indolent with better overall and disease-free survival.…”
