The Hole in Holistic Patient Care

Abstract: Life threatening illness and related suffering are arguably situations in which holistic care is the most important. Holism, a century old concept, refers to healing the whole person-body, mind and spirit-rather than solely focusing on the physical suffering and treatment of a disease or condition.
