Abstract:Among the core concepts of psycho-oncology, “addressing the human aspects of cancer” is one of the most important. In particular, the enhancement of physicians' empathic communication is welcomed in Japan. In 2006, the enactment of the Cancer Control Act in Japan promoted psychosocial and palliative care to anyone.
