The identities of ethnic communities in São Paulo: An investigation of the Armenian community in Bom Retiro

Abstract: This article explores the geo‐spatial identity of the Armenian community in São Paulo. Beginning with a foundation in prominent theories of ethnic communities, it then presents the political contexts and historical diversity of both Brazil and the city.
