The immune response to polysaccharides from yeast-like fungi in sensitized experimental animals

Abstract: Summary Data about allergenic activity of some crude polysaccharides and their fractions which were isolated from yeast‐like organisms by application of several methods are discussed in the present article. By the use of Cg preparation from Tomlopsis Candida as the strongest anaphylactogen which leads to the most pronounced skin reactions, it has been shown that it's poly‐saccharide component plays a manifest role in ascertaining immediate type hypersensiti‐vity.
