Abstract: Small nuclear ribonucleoprotein polypeptide G (SNRPG) or Smith protein G (SmG) is vitally involved in the biogenesis of the major and minor spliceosome precursors that are spliceosomaluridyl-rich small nuclear ribonucleoprotein particles (U snRNPs; U1, U2, U4 and U5).
