This study identified the perceived influence of cloud computing in undergraduate researches in universities in Enugu state, Nigeria. Four objective and research questions were formulated to guide the study. The population for the study was 135 third and final year computer education students in University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Enugu State University of Science and Technology in Enugu state Nigeria. A structured questionnaire of 37 items was used to collect data and was validated by three experts. Data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The findings of the study revealed that using cloud Skype for online lectures makes choice of project topic difficult, while using YouTube for online video makes choice of project topic clearer. Cloud computing services make Information upload easier, however, using cloud service to enroll for online courses decreases cost of project researches. This study therefore, recommended that cloud computing should be encouraged by the government and school Management for their student and staff for academic researches, while increasing funds for procuring facilities for effective cloud computing, and for training of students/lectures for appropriate skill acquisition

Due to the rapid development of technology today, lots of technological advancements are on the high increase. Information storage for individual and organizations including educational sector is taking another dimension. Harnessing cloud computing in educational sector will definitely lead to the adoption of Cloud Computing in the sector. Cloud Computing is everything that could answer the challenges of ICT in educational sector and the ability to make ICT resources cheaper and it gives great flexibility for expansion, but suffered a lot of setbacks when it comes to security and privacy concerns. Since, it is where software applications, data storage and processing capacity are accessed over the internet. This paper will study the benefit of harnessing cloud computing in Educational Sector and give recommendations for adopting the new technology which can be accessed through public, private, community and hybrid cloud based technologies.

Developing a Cloud-Based Mobile Learning Adoption Model to Promote Sustainable Education

Education plays a very significant role in the context of sustainability. As the world population is growing, providing education through the traditional classroom setting is not sufficient and not feasible to extend learning in professional life. Therefore, modern technology-mediated learning paradigms such as mobile learning are becoming increasingly popular. Mobile learning is said to integrate multiple contexts, learning types, mobilities and communications. As information and communications technology (ICT) plays a vital role in the delivery of mobile learning services, it is very essential to adopt sustainable IT resources to keep it viable. Cloud computing offers a range of affordable, scalable and on-demand solutions. This paper attempts to model important critical success factors (CSFs) in the area of cloud-based mobile learning using the interpretive structural modeling (ISM) technique. ISM helps in identifying the hierarchical inter-relationships between the variables of study with the help of experts in the field. Finally, Matrice d’Impacts Croisés-Multiplication Appliquée á un Classement (MICMAC) analysis is employed to classify the variables into dependent and independent variables. Management support has been identified as most rudimentary among sixteen CSFs identified through a literature review to establish a distinguished relative advantage. Further, the paper discusses the theoretical underpinning of all the constructs. This study will help organizations to implement mobile learning in sustainable ways.
