Abstract:IntroductionAuditory‐perceptual evaluations of dysphonia, though essential for comprehensive voice evaluation, are subject to listener bias. Knowledge of an underlying voice disorder can influence auditory‐perceptual ratings. Accented speech results in increased listener effort and delays in word identification.
