The Impact of implementing multisource feedback on behaviors of young doctors

Abstract: Objectives: Multisource feedback (MSF) is a workplace-based assessment tool that offers 360-degree evaluation of the trainee doctor. “…One common goal among any assessment and evaluation of a trainee is to identify candidates that are performing below the expected standard; to allow an opportunity to implement strategies and help the trainee improve their weaknesses. This goal of assessment conflicts with the potential reluctance to provide honest ratings, and originates from a far more complex social dynamic around supervisor attitudes on multisource feedback 5,9,17,21 .
