This study aims to examine the effect of board structure and ownership structure on corporate performance. Corporate performance is measured by return on assets (ROA), the board structure consists of the size of the board of directors, the size of the board of commissioners and the frequency of board meetings. While the ownership structure is proxied by managerial ownership and institutional ownership. The population in this study were all companies listed in the Kompas 100 index, with a sample of 23 companies. The observation period is five years (2017-2021). To test the hypothesis used multiple regression analysis with a significance level of 5%.. The results of the study show that the size of the board of directors has a positive and significant effect on corporate performance, while the size of the board of commissioners has a significant but negative effect on corporate performance, while the frequency of board meetings has no effect on corporate performance. Other results, managerial ownership has a significant and negative effect on company performance, while institutional ownership has no effect on corporate performance.

Purpose This study aims to explore the relationship between board diversity and financial performance, examining how the presence of women on corporate boards affects metrics such as profitability. In addition, this study investigates how corporate governance and ownership structure influence gender diversity policies and the appointment of women to boards. Design/methodology/approach Two hypotheses were proposed and following regression models were developed for data analysis. The sample for this study consists of companies listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in five years (2015–2019). The data was extracted from the Taiwan Economic Journal Taiwan database with the final data set comprised 9,379 firm-year observations. Findings This study indicates a positive association between board diversity and financial performance. Moreover, the relationship between female directors on the board and financial performance is stronger for firms with a higher percentage of institutional investors. Originality/value By highlighting how gender-balanced boards and engaged institutional shareholders improve profitability, this study suggests that actively recruiting women directors and pursuing governance reforms that empower shareholders can pay dividends for Taiwanese companies. The results make an important contribution to the limited research on diversity's impact within Asian corporate settings.

INTRODUCTION: A company's net profit is a significant factor in measuring whether the company is performing well or not. How to improve the company's return on assets, strengthen the company's operations, improve the company's capital structure, enhance the company's marketing strength, and accelerate the company's financing speed is an inevitable choice for the company to avoid falling into a financial crisis. OBJECTIVES: Forecasting the financial crisis of listed companies based on the financial situation of selected listed companies. METHODS: The return on assets, shareholders' equity ratio, return on net worth and other company factors have been studied empirically using data mining techniques. A mathematical model for financial risk identification was developed and evaluated. RESULTS: The results show that the accuracy is above 90%. CONCLUSION: The study found that the lower the return on capital, the higher the financial risk the firm faces; the lower the financial debt ratio, the higher the chance of financial difficulties, and the two are positively correlated.
