“…Ultimately, validation should enable our research group to design a randomized controlled trial of revealed versus concealed risk-prediction, with maternal morbidity as the proposed primary outcome. Furthermore, the knowledge of a high likelihood of a successful vaginal delivery has been shown to be as significant motivating factor for women entering labour [ 8 ]. This knowledge would be welcomed by the women we are caring for as they prepare for their upcoming labour.…”

“…Finally, the stabilized IP weight of censoring as the weight of censorship in the study multiplied by the stabilized IP weight of exposure was entered into the model as the stabilizing IP weight, and the weighted average of diabetes incidence for the entire population and for the pre-hypertension group was estimated in a counterfactual model. Based on this, the average treatment effect (ATE) was calculated [ 26 , 29 ]. To estimate the risk ratio (RR), a generalized linear model with binomial family and log link was used.…”

“…Also, women whose period of gestation was 39-40 weeks at the time of birth had 1.368 odds [95% CI (1.905-2.069), p = 0.013] of SVB than controls 36 . In Iran, motivational interviewing, coupled with childbirth education, has also proved helpful in challenging constructs around normal birth, with up to 20% improvement in SVB for women receiving the antenatal intervention 37 .…”
