The impact of myoglobin on the efficiency of the therapeutic effect of low intensity laser radiation

Abstract: The results of numerical simulation of the interaction of laser optical radiation with myoglobin (Mb) and oxymyoglobin (MbO 2 ) in muscle tissue are presented. It is shown that the photodissociation of MbO 2 can adjust the concentration of oxygen (O 2 ) in muscle tissue, directly at the zone of irradiation. The criteria of the effectiveness of the combined effect of oxygenation on the biological tissue by laser radiation at two wavelengths are considered.
