“…Participation in the study was voluntary; perhaps students with more difficult transition experiences chose not to participate. Participants all attended a re-entry retreat, which have been shown to reduce levels of depression, stress, and anxiety in adjusting to college (Davis et al, 2010), which may have resulted in more positive transition experiences for the participants of this study.
