It is known that speech act of kinayah often becomes a complicated problem in the translation process. The problem emerges during the translation process because of the existence of primary meaning and secondary meaning contained in kinayah speech. In this case, the translator must employ so appropriate procedures and techniques of translation that the translation of kinayah becomes accurate. This descriptive research with the design of embedded case study is oriented on translation as a cognitive product of the translators. This research aims at revealing the impact of translation ideology on the accuracy of the translations of kinayah verses in Al-Quran dan Terjemahnya and Al-Quranul Karim Tarjamah Tafsiriyah. The latter was made by Thalib as a reaction to the deficiencies of Al-Quran dan Terjemahnya in the accuracy and clarity aspects. The result shows that in general, both of the translations have domestication tendency because they used many target-language-oriented translation techniques. The domestication tendency presents the accuracy and transparency of kinayah verses in the translations. The application of translation techniques in both of the translations is not only done by using single procedure but also done by using couplet, triplet, and quartet procedures. The couplet procedure that combines literal and amplification techniques presents the good quality translation of the kinayah verses. The application of literal technique presents the primary meaning of the kinayah verses accurately, while the application of amplification technique presents the secondary meaning of them transparently.

The first goal of the research was to figure out translation methods and shifts applied in translating bilingual textbooks of History, Mathematics, and Physics, Those bilingual textbooks were published by Quadra, Yramawidia, and Yudhisthira, used for grade seven in Medan. The second was to figure out the impact of translation methods and shifts which dominant on translation quality. The third was to recommend better bilingual textbooks to use based on the translation quality point of view. The research used a descriptive qualitative research method with a questionnaire, depth-interview, and observation on a pair of translation to collect the data. The data were analyzed with interactively and non-interactively. Based on the data analysis, the research finds that (1) the dominant shift on History textbook is unit shift while the dominant method is a free translation, the dominant shift on Physics is a unit shift and dominant method is a communicative translation, the dominant shift on Mathematics is structure shift and dominant method is communicative translation. The second finding is that the impact of the dominant translation shift and method on the History textbook is negative. At the same time, in Mathematics and Physics are positive. Third, the research; the researcher recommends bilingual textbooks of Mathematics and Physics to use based on translation quality point of view. The well bilingual textbooks can improve students’ language skills, while low translation quality influences bad development to students on learning the language.

Assessment of the quality of translation is one of the important activities in translation. The translation assessment can be seen from three aspects: accuracy, clarity, and naturalness. This study aims to reveal the accuracy and fatigue of the translation results of students' Arabic-Indonesian official manuscripts, considering that researchers rarely touch the spiciness aspect than the translation's accuracy and reasonableness. This research uses the descriptive analysis method and content analysis model. The research sample is six graduate students in Arabic Language Education at the Indonesia University of Education. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. From the results of this study, the researchers obtained several findings, namely: first, the level of mastery was very high, spread as many as eight data (44.4%), the moderate level of intelligence was spread as many as six data (33.3%), and the level of intelligence lacked as many as four data. (22.2%). Second, the level of fatigue in the translation of the official text for high levels of friction is as many as ten data (55.5%), there are five data (27.7%) for moderate fatigue, and three data (16.6%) is less tired. So, from the results of this study, it is concluded that fatigue dominates as much as ten data (55.5%) compared to the very high level of mastery where there are only eight data (44.4%).
