The Impact of the First and Second Waves of COVID‐19 Pandemic in Nigeria

Abstract: In December 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) received a report on the clusters of pneumonia cases of an unidentified cause in the city of Wuhan, Hubei Province of China (Cao et al., 2020). This was subsequently identified as a novel strain of Coronavirus (sars-cov-2) as the causative agent, by the Chinese authorities (WHO, 2020).
