The study aimed to identify the main causes of climate change, the impact of climate change on inbound tourism to Egypt, and to evaluate the effects of climate change on tourist destinations in general and archaeological sites in Luxor and Aswan in particular. The study relied on a questionnaire to collect data to verify these objectives. 286 questionnaires were distributed randomly among faculty members, experts from the ministries of tourism, antiquities, environment, and the tourism development authority in many governorates within Egypt. The study analyzed 226 questionnaires using SPSS v.28 software. The results highlighted inadequate environmental human practices as the main cause of climate change. The study also showed that climate change has a strong impact on inbound tourism to Egypt through changes in tourists' perspective when making the decision to travel to Egypt. Furthermore, the study indicated that the most significant impact of climate change on tourist destinations was severe drought, while the most significant impact on archaeological sites was the negative impact on the colors of tombs and temples. The study recommended maintaining the climate of archaeological sites and reducing the impact of climate change on them by regulating the temperature and humidity in the buildings and structures surrounding them.

Mining is becoming increasingly vulnerable to the effects of climate change (CC). The consequences of changing weather patterns, such as extreme weather events that can damage equipment, infrastructure, mining facilities, and operation interruption, are the source of the vulnerability. The new demand initiated by governments and international agreements put extra pressure on mining industries to update their policies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to CC, such as carbon pricing systems, renewable energy, and sustainable development. Most mining and exploration industries focus on reducing mining's impact and climate mitigation on CC rather than adapting to extreme weather events. Therefore, it is important to study and investigate the impacts of CC on the mining sector. This paper aims to study the challenges and strategies for adapting and mitigating CC impacts on mining using a systematic literature review (SLR). These results showed that most of the proposed models and strategies in the mining field are in the conceptual phase, and fewer are practical models.

The vulnerability stems from changing weather patterns, leading to extreme weather events that can cause damage to equipment, infrastructure, and mining facilities and disrupt operations. The new demand from governments and international agreements has placed additional pressure on mining industries to update their policies in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to CC. This includes implementing carbon pricing systems, utilizing renewable energy, and focusing on sustainable development. Most mining and exploration industries prioritize reducing mining’s impact on climate change rather than adapting to extreme weather events. Therefore, it is important to study and investigate the impacts of climate change on the mining sector. This paper aims to investigate the challenges and strategies for adapting to and mitigating the impacts of climate change on mining through a systematic literature review. The results indicate that the majority of proposed models and strategies in the mining field are still in the conceptual phase, with fewer practical implementations. It has been identified that there is a requirement for long-term planning, improved risk management plans, and increased awareness and education within the industry. Practical strategies such as integrating renewable energy, enhancing operational safety, and improving water and tailings management have been recognized as crucial for effective climate change adaptation and mitigation.
