The Impacts of Rural Property Rights on Urban Unemployment, Wage Inequality, and Welfare in Developing Countries

Abstract: This paper establishes a three-sector general equilibrium model to explore how rural property rights influence urban unemployment, skilled-unskilled wage inequality and social welfare in developing countries. Strengthened rural property rights generate the rent-gaining effect and the productivity-enhancing effect, and the interaction of these two effects determines the changes of urban unemployment, skilled-unskilled wage inequality and social welfare. In addition to the aforementioned two effects, the agricul… Show more

“…For a deeper interaction between blocks, it is necessary to consider the correlation between block processes. For example, this is the influence of funding for higher education and employment of the population who received this education, or work in the specialty of graduates having secondary vocational education and higher education (Miao, 2020;Nikolova & Popova, 2020;Pi et al, 2017;. And it is necessary to know how the process block, namely its indicators, correlates with the rest of the indicators.…”

“…According to the revealed patterns, a sharp increase of L7, L9, L10 indicators in 2012 is related to the financing of secondary vocational education. The uneven development of the financing process has led to qualitative changes in the indicators connected with the innovative activity of companies in the direction of their reduction (Nikolova & Popova, 2020;Pi et al, 2017).…”

“…For the rest L2, L3, L4, L5 they took dimensionless ones: Graphical, statistical methods of data processing and correlation-regression analysis were applied to the indicators. And also compiled a quantitative block in the form of a diagram of interactions of the selected indicators [3][4][5].…”

“…Therefore, the low efficiency of sowing and harvesting processes leads to a corresponding decrease in the volume of crop production. A number of works [1][2][3][4] consider various approaches to increasing the efficiency of sowing and harvesting, however, a systematic approach to the management of agricultural company processes requires the identification of the most significant reasons for the decrease in the efficiency and addresses as a priority their elimination (or reduction in the strength of their influence). The paper analyzes the reasons for the inefficiencies of sowing and harvesting processes and provides recommendations for reducing the impact of these reasons.…”
