Abstract: Objective: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is accompanied by several concomitant conditions due to its systemic effects. Hypoxia and oxidative stress associated with COPD are also believed to contribute to the disease course through the effects of several inflammatory mediators.
