The inertia and storage impact on the Mexican network frequency

Abstract: This paper suggests the subtle effect of getting suitable ancillary services to properly manipulate the frequency within the Mexican interconnected system (MIS), composed of 158 generators, 2022 buses, and 3025 lines. Studies are carried out to assess the frequency behaviour in the different control areas of the MIS under sudden load increments.
