Intraoperatively, a 5.5-mm wide, partial-thickness sclerocorneal tunnel is constructed using a frown incision. 25-gauge pars plana vitrectomy is performed using ports at 3.5 mm from the limbus. A 16-mm STC-6 straight needle is inserted into the anterior chamber, 1 mm from the limbus, and is docked into the lumen of a 26-gauge needle inserted into the anterior chamber, through its diametrically opposite point along the horizontal axes marked preoperatively. The iris-claw lens is introduced into the anterior chamber, ensuring that it is posteriorly vaulted. Implantation forceps (Artisan IOL Implantation Forceps, TMF710 ) are used to grasp the lens just proximal to its optic center and to fixate the clips of the haptics on to the STC-6 needle. Ophthalmic viscosurgical device is aspirated from the anterior chamber, sclerotomy cannulae are removed, the wounds are checked for a leak, and if absent, the procedure is sutureless.
