The Influence of Eccentricity, Contrast, and Angular Extent on the Perception of Peripheral Apparent Motion

Abstract: Two experiments were performed to investigate the perception of peripherally presented apparent motion as a function of eccentricity of the stimulus, ambient illumination, gender, athletic ability, age, stimuli pattern (diamond, square), and angular extent of stimuli presentation.
