Abstract: Abstract. Elevated carbon dioxide (eCO2) in the atmosphere increases forest biomass productivity, but only where soil nutrients, particularly nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) are not limiting growth. eCO2, in turn, can impact rhizosphere nutrient availability.
